Good friends, delicious food and an amazing time for plant protein- what a great Meatless Monday event! Pamela Anderson, James Costa, Kathy Freston, Toni Trucks, Chef Roberto Martin, Mercy For Animals, the Environmental Media Association all gathered together at Gardein’s Tasting Kitchen and enjoyed Mini Beefless Wellington, Chef Tal’s Buckwheat Blini, Crabless Cakes, Watermelon Poke and Chef Roberto’s Fishless Filet Tostadas.

We all had a great evening and many thanks to our friends for their support. The conversation was great, the food was absolutely delicious – there was nothing ‘less’ about this meatless Monday!

Meatless Monday is sweeping the nation as people cut out meat one day a week. As everyone in attendance on Monday night can attest, cutting back is tasty and easy. With minor modifications to your diet, you’ll greatly improve the health of your body and the environment. “Why Meatless? Because going meatless once a week may reduce your risk of chronic preventable conditions like cancer, cardiovascular disease, diabetes, and obesity. And going meatless once a week can also help reduce our carbon footprint and save precious resources like fossil fuels and fresh water.” – Meatless Monday

With a few small changes to your diet, you can greatly improve the health of your body and the environment. Skipping meat one day a week is good for you, great for our nation’s health, and fantastic for the planet!
