gardein layered taco dip
- 1 pkggardein ultimate beefless burger
- 1 tblspchili powder
- 2 tsponion powder
- 1 tspgarlic powder
- 1 tsppaprika
- 1 tspdried oregano
- 1/2 tspsalt
- 1 tblspvegetable or olive oil
- 1 1/2 cupssour cream (vegan option available)
- 1green pepper, diced
- 2tomatoes, diced
- 2 cupscooked mixed beans
- 2 tblspchopped fresh cilantro
- 1ripe avocado, diced
- 1 cupgrated cheddar cheese (vegan option available)
- 2scallions, thinly sliced
- 1/2 cupsliced black olives
Thaw gardein ultimate beefless burgers and crumble into a bowl. Add the chili powder, onion powder, garlic powder, paprika, oregano and salt until well combined.
With a non stick frying pan, warm oil over medium heat to sauté the seasoned gardein burger mixture. Sauté until browned and hot, approximately 4-5 minutes. Allow mixture to cool slightly.
To assemble, spread sautéed gardein burger mixture over bottom of a serving dish.
Layer with sour cream, green peppers, tomatoes, beans, cilantro, avocado, cheese, scallions and black olives.
Serve alongside tortilla chips.
To make this party dip even more decadent, melt cheese under the broiler before garnishing with scallions and black olives. You can also give this dip a spicy twist by adding some pickled jalapeno peppers or a few shakes of your favorite hot sauce.
